A List of Things You Might Not Know About Me:

1. i prefer eating soft foods over crunchy things. simply because i like the way the flavor covers my tongue like a blanket and the flavor is not in one place, between my teeth, but all over my tongue. so i like things like mashed potatoes, the soft part of bread, yogurt, pudding, jello, etc. this said, i am extremely mouth sensual and when i look at myself in the mirror, i catch myself looking at my lips first.
2. I seem excessively practical when speaking about relationships, but i not-so-secretly want my knight in shining armour to come riding up on his horse, climb up my hair to rescue me from the tower and give me true love’s kiss.
3. i prefer staying up late to waking up early and i have only “enjoyed” watching the sun rise once in my life. i’ve seen it other times, but usually i was mad at having to be up so damn early.
4. i don’t think i’m particularly pretty or attractive but i do think a lot of people are rather ugly and unattractive and i have no problem pointing them out in public.
5. i have no religion, my morals are conditional, my beliefs are open to discussion and my political views are borrowed. i believe in unseen forces: love, kindness, fairness, and happiness. i also simultaneously believe in fate, destiny, choice, free-will, and good-luck charms equally depending on the circumstances and which idea will benefit me most.
6. there are 25 cousins on my mom’s side of which i am number 5. the younger ones are my favorite and to a few of them, i feel more like a sister than a cousin. for a while, they really did think i was their sister so when the truth came out, they cried in their unwillingless to deny me as their own. i still find this endearing.
7. i don’t have a cemented style. i am fortunate in that i can wear anything and make it fit me like second skin whether it is glamorous, gothic, classy, slutty, hippie or silly. i don’t like fitting into a particular style either–i like that i can wear what i want, how i feel and fit in with so many different types of people. my taste in music refects this as well.
8. every year i make a true effort to better myself by learning a new skill. Last year i figured out how to solve the Rubiks cube and taught myself how to knit. i am thinking of learning how to REALLY pole dance this year.
9. i love reading. i love stories. books are air to me and i am always reading something. street signs, magazines that randomly pick up, the newspaper, books, anything. i love words and the power they have and although i take everything i read in the media with a grain of sand, i believe that all the fiction i read is true in one way or another.
10. when i went to new zealand, i had this grand vision that it would be a place like Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park, bursting with raw jungles and untamed nature. i wasn’t disappointed that i saw only sheep. i was let down by the fact that i didn’t see middle earth or any dinosaurs. a lot of my negative perception of new zealand stems from never seeing a dinosaur while i was there.
11. i prefer the idea of being a housewife to that of being a career woman.
